NEW! Reputation Score enhancements provide a more holistic look at how customers perceive your business

December 19, 2014

Reputation.com’s Reputation Score is the simplest way to get a bird’s-eye view of how consumers see your business online—and now it’s more powerful than ever. We recently fine-tuned the Reputation Score algorithm to accurately reflect the changing landscape of online reputation. The five standard variables are still there, but they’ve been augmented and enhanced for greater precision:

  • Sales Volume Adjusted Score – Multi-location businesses now have the option to adjust their Reputation Scores according to sales volume data (upon request), allowing you to account for variations between local markets. For example, low-volume stores in smaller markets could be weighted to score well with a lower volume profile relative to larger stores in larger markets.
  • Facebook Reviews – Facebook reviews have become increasingly important to the online reputation landscape; accordingly, as of January 2015, Facebook reviews will be factored into a business’s overall Reputation Score for customers who have enabled the social module in their Reputation.com accounts.
  • Recency – Measurement of the recency of customer feedback has been tweaked to better reflect consumer perception.
  • Spread – We have increased the prominence of review spread, as it is becoming more important to make sure that your business’s reputation is sound across ALL major review sites, not just one or two.
  • De-clustering – Industry analysis reveals that a business’s online presence is increasingly affecting customer buying decisions. Our technology is constantly reaching into further corners of the Internet, evaluating local SEO factors in a more granular fashion. This allows us to more effectively identify businesses that manage their online presences well versus those that don’t, and the scoring gap is widening between those.
